2021 Lexus LM – luxury four-seater minivan to launch in Malaysia on April 15, live stream on Facebook at 1 p.m.

Lexus Malaysia will officially present the LM on April 15, nearly four months after the luxury MPV’s order books opened. The launch event will be streamed live on Facebook at 1 p.m., so anyone wishing to connect can RSVP through the Lexus Malaysia Facebook page.

As we pointed out before, the Lexus LM will arrive here in the LM 350 form, which is similar to that offered for the Indonesian market. However, we’ll only get the four-seater version – a seven-seater variant is also available in the republic, but not here.

The LM 350 is fitted with a 3.5-liter 2GR-FKS V6 petrol engine developing 296 hp and over 360 Nm of torque, and power is transmitted to the front wheels via an eight-speed Direct Shift automatic transmission. That’s good for a centennial sprint of 8.3 seconds, and the LM will hit 180 km / h. By the way, we won’t have the LM 300h hybrid, which Thailand is getting.

It’s no secret that the LM is based on the Alphard. But as the ultimate boss car, it gets a huge bump in terms of luxury, appointments, and equipment. The kit list includes triple-beam LED projector headlights, signature LED DRLs, 18-inch hyperchrome metal alloy rims, as well as a massive 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple. CarPlay and Android Auto.

At the rear, there are two VIP seats that recline to become flat beds, and AdaptiPedic low-density urethane foam is wrapped in semi-aniline leather. There’s also a built-in massage function and air cooling, while an electronically controlled glass bulkhead provides complete privacy, separating the driver and front passenger from occupants in the rear.

Other features include a 26-inch LCD screen, a 19-speaker Mark Levinson surround sound system, a double moonroof, an on-board refrigerator, a dedicated storage area large enough to store a briefcase, as well as a central touchscreen console.

On the safety front, the LM 350 is equipped with seven airbags and a host of features bundled under the Lexus Safety System + (LSS +) umbrella. These include a pre-collision system, dynamic radar cruise control, lane following assistance, lane change assistance with blind spot monitor, an alert rear cross-traffic, parking assist brake and adaptive high beam system.

Only two colors are available for the car, and these are black crystal and pearl white. The Lexus LM 350 is priced at RM 1,148,000, on the road without insurance. Lexus Malaysia said the first deliveries are expected to start in June, so it won’t be long now.
