If you haven’t been following the stream, or just want a recap of everything announced at today’s Summer Game Fest, we’ve got you covered. Here’s everything that was announced, revealed and/or showcased at Summer Game Fest Live 2022.

Watch the stream below or catch up with our roundup that follows:

Street Fighter 6

We have already seen Street Fighter 6 during Sony’s State of Play last week. Today it was revealed that Guile is returning to the fray, and we got our first look at gameplay. It’s coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Note the absence of Xbox One there.

Aliens: Dark Descent

The first world premiere of the evening is here: a brand new game set in the Alien universe. The trailer looks fantastic, but it’s a little misleading: it’s a top-down real-time action game rather than the cinematic action game the trailer suggests. Still, it features an all-new story in a much-loved universe, so we’ll remain optimistic. It’s coming in 2023 on consoles and PC.

The Callisto Protocol

From one game set in space to another: here is the first gameplay trailer of The Callisto Protocol, the spiritual successor to the Dead Space series. It’s bloody, it’s weird, and we’re absolutely here for it. It won’t be for the faint-hearted, but we’re excited to get our hands on it. It is released on December 2, 2022.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2

As expected, here is a trailer for the next one Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. We took a good look at the gameplay and… yes, it looks like Call of Duty. As always with a new Call of Duty game, it looks awesome. Much of the gameplay takes place on a ship, and the water effects in particular are impressive. It was released on October 28, and pre-ordering now will give you access to the open beta.

Backtrack 2

30 years later, an iconic franchise returns with Flashback 2. It’s coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, and PC in Winter 2022. The trailer didn’t yield much, but is still an exciting preview for fans of the original. .

witch fire

Another world first here with witch fireby The Astronauts, the team behind The disappearance of Ethan Carter. It’s something quite different, a first-person shooter with magic attacks thrown along the way. It looks great and the places we are going to explore are absolutely fascinating. We can’t wait to see more. It is “soon” entering early access on the Epic Games Store.

Fort Solis

World premiere: here is an intriguing indie title that takes us to a science fiction setting. The trailer does nothing too away, but it looks claustrophobic, dark and unsettling. In our street, then. And it stars Troy Baker. Just like 99.98% of games ever made.

Tonight seems to be all about horror in space. And here’s another one that looks quite terrifying and interesting. The very short trailer says little, but we can’t wait to see more. It’s coming to Xbox and PC (and Xbox Game Pass).

world killer outriders

A new trailer for Ridersupcoming expansion, world killer, gave us a glimpse of action-packed cooperative gameplay. Learn more about the trailer here, or read our hands-on preview of world killer here.

Another world first. Despite an action-packed trailer, this is a real-time strategy game. Although its world and characters look quite interesting, so if the RTS genre is your bag, this one is worth keeping an eye out for. A beta is coming in 2023, which you can sign up for now at

high water

An apocalyptic indie game, high waterThe trailer for us absolutely hooked us. As you navigate through a flooded world on a boat, it looks like you’ll explore ruins, meet new people, and avoid various human threats. It’s coming 2022.

American Arcadia

We saw American Arcadia before, but this new trailer has us even more intrigued by this dystopian puzzle sim that feels like a darker Truman show. It’s coming to PC and console soon, and you can now wishlist it on Steam.

Goat Simulator 3

Coming soon from Coffee Stain Studio is Goat simulator 3. The goofy trailer starts off by riffing off GTAV before the goat-like mayhem absolutely kicks off. We are absolutely here for that. It’s coming to PC, Xbox, and PlayStation later this year.

Marvel’s Midnight Sons

From 2K and Firaxis Games, son of midnight brings the world of Marvel to the strategy game genre. The new cinematic trailer shows Venom getting into trouble, and Spider-Man kicking around like only Spidey can. Sure, it’s not quite representative of gameplay, but we’re still looking forward to getting our hands on it when it releases on October 7th. Pre-order now to get a Doctor Strange Defenders skin.

Cuphead: the delicious last dish

We got another look at Cuphead’s expansion, The Delicious Last Course, which is coming to consoles and PC on June 30. The trailer here shows off a brand new boss, who will absolutely, definitely kick our little cartoon hineys.

neon white

Here is a trailer for neon white, an action-packed first-person game that looks like a lot of fun. And it’s coming out very soon: June 16 on PC and Switch. We’ll have more on the game closer to launch.

Midnight Fight Express

Here is a game created by one person: Midnight Fight Express. It’s a top-down action game that lets you shoot and smash your way through crowds. It’s gory, brutal, and packs in a killer soundtrack. It’s coming to PC and console on August 23. A demo will also be available on Steam during the Steam Next Fest.

New things are coming to Warframe, the long-running free-to-play game. Good news for those of you who play.

great people

Online Multiplayer great people gets a pretty cool new cinematic trailer. An open beta is coming soon.

A new DLC is coming Humanity soon, and it looks pretty good if you’re a fan of the game. Also! It’s making its way to console “soon”, although we’re awaiting a release date. It’s coming to PlayStation and Xbox, and will be on Game Pass on day one.

One Piece Odyssey

Here is a trailer for One Piece Odyssey, which was announced last month. An all-new RPG starring everyone’s favorite Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hats, players can look forward to new encounters, mysteries, and a gripping adventure. It’s coming later this year to PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

The career

Ahead of its launch tomorrow, there’s another trailer for Supermassive Games’ The career. We’ve played it before and can tell you it’s worth diving into. Here is our opinion.

Here’s a new trailer for Inflexion Games’ Nightingale, a multiplayer survival and crafting experience in a mysterious and magical world. We are certainly intrigued by this one.

Layers of fears

Bloober Team’s next horror game has arrived, a return to the world of Layers of Fear. Graphically, it looks fantastic and if it looks like the first game, it’s going to be terrifying. We weren’t as impressed with Layers of Fear 2, but we’re excited to give this one a shot. It arrives in early 2023 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.

Gotham Knights

On October 23, we can’t wait to dive into Gotham Knights. We got a new look at Nightwing, one of the game’s key characters, and he looks suitably excellent.

The last of us

Neil Druckmann is on stage, talking about various Last of Us properties. First up, some concept art for an upcoming multiplayer game. Remember when The Last of Us Part II was supposed to have a multiplayer mode? It is now a standalone game that has been in development for two years. We’ll see more next year.

Next, Neil provided more information on the upcoming HBO series. He says it will be the most authentic video game adaptation yet and shared a screenshot of an episode he directed himself. It was also revealed that Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson – voice actors for Joel and Ellie – have roles on the show. Not like Joel and Ellie, of course; their characters are kept secret.

And of course, The Last of Part I was revealed for PS5, which leaked earlier.
