Exclusive Gucci x Adidas Collaboration Arrives at Houston Galleria

The Gucci x Adidas pop-in has finally arrived in Texas, and the Galleria in Houston is the only location in the state to receive the collection. The Simon mall store received about 45 different styles.

Some products are already sold out. There are very few pairs of Adidas’ Giselle sneakers, a popular indoor soccer shoe from the late 1980s, wrapped in Gucci’s signature monogram canvas. T-shirts, bowling-style shirts and athletic shorts have also taken off.

Basically, the collaboration’s high-end athleisure pieces are selling like hot cakes.

Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele blended the Italian fashion house’s heritage emblems with Adidas’ iconic sportswear brand. The final result ? A luxe mix of Adidas Trefoil with interlocking Gs, three horsebit stripes and a kaleidoscope of color.

The collection represents a hybrid of past and present trends. Today’s matching sets have a retro feel. The bowling bag-shaped duffel bags say “Gucci” spelled backwards – the medium size is almost outdated. There are wooden clogs and pumps; crop tops and windbreakers; silk scarves and sweatbands.

Some of the most collectible items feature three white Adidas stripes on one side and Gucci’s red and green canvas on the other.

With this limited edition collection, the two historic brands aim to convey a singular message: “There are no rules when it comes to dressing”.

Shop the looks while supplies last at Houston Galleria, Gucci.com or the Adidas “Confirmed” app. Some parts have been produced from sustainable and future-oriented materials.
