JAY-Z and Beyonce have come to embody the term “powerful couple”, thus becoming synonymous with luxurious living. Not surprisingly, given the vast extent of their combined net worth. Now the couple have joined forces for a brand new Tiffany & Co ad campaign, marking the first time Hov and Bey have collaborated on such a project.

Not only does the campaign mark a new milestone for JAY-Z and Beyonce, but it also offers them a new outlet to further assert themselves as aesthetes. In fact, Complex reports that the couple are pictured alongside a previously unseen painting by legendary Jean-Michel Basquiat, titled “Equal to Pi”.

On the paint, Tiffany’s executive vice president of products and communications, Alexandre Arnault, speculated on a potential link between Basquiat and the company. “We don’t have any literature that says he did the painting for Tiffany,” explains Arnault. “But we know a bit more about Basquiat. We know his family. We had an exhibition of his work at the Louis Vuitton Foundation a few years ago. We know he loved New York, loved luxury, and loved jewelry. My guess is that the [blue painting] is not by chance. The color is so specific that it must be a kind of tribute.

According to Dazed Digital, the 1982 painting was owned by a private collector before Tiffany acquired it. Clearly, “Equals Pi” has proven to be a real stage thief, sending social media into a frenzy fueled by the sight of sheer opulence. In addition to the photos – taken by photographer Mason Poole – Tiffany also unveiled a brief clip from the “About Love” campaign. In it, a loving Hov films his wife playing the piano, a candid glimpse into their dynamic.

In honor of this collaboration, Tiffany & Co has pledged to provide $ 2 million in scholarships to historically black colleges and universities. Feast your eyes on the campaign video below.
