Katy Perry celebrated the birthday of fashion designer, costume designer and fitness guru Johnny Wujek in style this week in California.
As seen no Wujek instagram page, the “Play” singer posed with the 43-year-old and his friends, including Ferras, Shannon Woodward and Sarah Hudson in Montecito. For the occasion, she wore a chic beige midi dress with short sleeves, a belted silhouette and a deep neckline. Adding to the classic nature of her ensemble, a brown leather Hermes Birkin handbag – one of the most elusive handbags in the world – as well as gold earrings, thin layered necklaces and glasses pink tinted aviator sunglasses.
“The OG #Hero Catalog,” Wujek captioned the photo, referencing the group’s roles as Perry’s team, friends, style and musical team in the early 2010s.
As for footwear, Perry stayed relaxed in a pair of Hermès sandals. Her brown leather style—coincidentally matching her Birkin—featured wide “H”-shaped toe straps, which included cutouts for extra ventilation. Tailoring details gave the set an equestrian finish, as well as a chic finish to her neutral outfit.
Slip-on sandals like Perry’s are ideal for summer, due to their ease of on and off. Neutral leather pairs have gained popularity this season, due to their ability to be worn with a range of ensembles. However, the style also thrives in innovations. Deckers X Lab recently launched new ‘KO-Z’ slides to their recovery shoe line, which feature foam insoles and footbeds for added comfort. Meanwhile, ease and relaxation have been embraced by many brands; Vionic’s latest sandal releases have included textured insoles and heel cups for greater ease, while cushioning and cushioning for all-day comfort have been key in new styles released by Vionic. Andre Assous, Cougar and Minnetonka.
Perry is no stranger to comfortable sandals, having launched numerous pairs in her Katy Perry Collection shoe line over the years. This summer, she also wore Birkenstock tap shoes to visit the circus.

When it comes to footwear, the “Firework” singer’s shoe style is bold and elegant – often coordinated with her ensembles for performances and events. She has previously been seen in pointy toe pumps, flats and mules by brands including Louis Vuitton, Bottega Veneta and Manolo Blahnik. When not on duty, the star prefers comfortable sneakers and slides from Adidas, Saint Laurent and Birkenstock. She also wears her own Katy Perry Collection shoe line, which includes sandals, pumps and flats with glittering embellishments and bright colors – and which she recently relaunched after buying it back in 2022.
