Move over Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton is the talk of the town now. Balenciaga is known for pushing the envelope and offering expensive and bizarre off-the-shelf fashion items. Now Louis Vuitton has also joined the list. His latest offering is a bag that looks like a can of paint. That’s why the brand aptly named the LV Paint Can Bag collection. The bag is part of late fashion designer Virgil Abloh’s latest LV collection for men.
The French brand has priced the accessory at £1,980 (over Rs 1.9 lakh). The bag has a coated canvas and cowhide leather with a microfiber lining. It has silver colored hardware with a detachable and adjustable shoulder strap that can be used as a shoulder bag. It also has a single main compartment with an opening tab.
The bag received mixed reactions online – while some praised Virgil for his creativity, some weren’t so impressed. One Twitter user wrote: “This LV paint bag is terrible.” Another Twitter user wrote, “Since when is wearing a paint bucket considered a fad?” One user commented, “Virgil was the only one who made household objects fashionable.”
