A day after Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez was grilled by Delhi police in the Sukesh Chandrashekhar extortion case, new reports claim four small-screen performers met the con artist in Tihar jail , where he is currently being held.
According to a report by India Today, the four visitors were ‘Bigg Boss 14’ fame Nikki Tamboli, TV actress Chahatt Khanna and models Sophia Singh and Arusha Patil.
The report claims that the four actresses had gone to Tihar prison to meet Sukesh and were introduced to him by his associate Pinky Irani. In return for the visits, they received cash and expensive gifts like bags from Gucci and Louis Vuitton and Versace watches, among others.
Apparently, the roadmap states that Nikki met Sukesh twice in 2018: once with Irani when she received cash worth Rs 1.5 lakh and the second time alone when she received a Gucci handbag from Sukesh with Rs 2 lakh in cash.
Nikki also mentioned in her statement that Pinky introduced Sukesh to her as “Shekhar” and said he was a Southern film producer.
The indictment revealed that Chahatt also met Sukesh in 2018 at the prison premises where she received Rs 2 lakh in cash and a Versace watch as a gift.
For the uninitiated, Sukesh Chandrashekhar is on trial for an Rs 200 crore extortion case registered against him. Apart from Jacqueline, Nikki, Chahatt and others, actress Nora Fatehi’s name has also appeared in the case and she was summoned by Delhi police on Thursday.
