Woven with waste: Ayushmann Khurrana pleads for recycled luxury fashion with this look

Ayushmann Khurrana has launched promotions for his next film Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui with Vaani Kapoor.

Ayushmann was recently seen sporting a creation of as designer Gaurav Gupta – a gold, white and gold bomber jacket that was made from “fabrics created with crisps and cookies wrappers, plastic bottles and other daily consumables that were excavated from oceans and landfills,” such as ‘said the creator.

The fabric comes from EcoKaari, a social enterprise that makes recycled and handcrafted fabrics from landfill waste like plastic bags and packaging.

Earlier this year, during Lakmé Fashion Week, the designer presented a 48-piece collection of couture, demi-couture and ready-to-wear evening dresses made from fabrics created from ocean plastic waste. and terrestrial.

Styled by Isha Bhansali, the actor launched the promotions with a head-to-toe Gucci look followed by a streetstyle set by Rising Among and Gucci shoes. The film directed by Abhishek Kapoor is scheduled for release on December 10.
